Welcome to Maple Bear Muscat. Our purpose-built early learning center is located in the central area of Bawsher and offers a nursery and kindergarten program, accepting students from 6 months up to age 6.
We promise small class sizes for individualized learning and care, taking place in bright, spacious classrooms. Within the school boundary, we have many shaded outdoor play areas including a bike track, sand pit, vegetable garden, along with water play. Multiple indoor play areas and a multipurpose dining and performance hall provide ample opportunity for little learners to collaborate, create, experiments, and express themselves. Visit us to meet our teachers who instruct with unique Canadian bilingual immersion methodology in English and Arabic, nurturing a love for learning and developing 21st century skills for all our preschool students.
Our specially developed bilingual program supports the development of multilingualism in the early years
A range of extracurricular activities are offered year round to complement the curriculum and deliver a well-rounded education that educates the whole child.
Our indoor play area is designed to give kids opportunities to develop their strength and coordination all year round.
Planting, nurturing and caring for flowers and vegetables in our outdoor garden promotes mindfulness and love of the environment
Our bike track outside wraps around the facility for the little ones to pedal trikes on.
Water fun outdoors in the shaded play area means that kids get plenty of fresh air and outdoor play even in the warmer months.

Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfill their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future opportunities. Maple Bear sets high standards to ensure children’s readiness for elementary school. Maple Bear gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provides the right foundation for good progress through school and life.
By the end of Senior Kindergarten children will communicate effectively by listening and speaking, will be able to read basic text in English, will be able to use phonic strategies to approach new words, will be capable of using writing strategies appropriate for beginners, and finally, will be able to use and respond to media.
Children will demonstrate curiosity about the natural world, demonstrate knowledge of characteristics of common materials, identify cycles in nature using techniques of observation, and work with others in using the computer in all aspects of their studies.
Children will understand colour, shape and use of media to express ideas. They will be able to describe responses to music, art, drama and dance.
Children will develop physical skills (such as balance and flexibility), an awareness of health and safety rules, an understanding of sharing, taking turns, cooperation and socially acceptable behaviour.
Children will become problem solvers. They will learn about patterns in the environment, number concepts, comparisons, sets, basic formal operations (e.g. adding and subtracting), 2-D and 3-D objects, simple graphs, basic measurements, estimation and basic probability.
Children enter Maple Bear School with some basis in their home language. In learning their first language children pass through several stages in predictable order: listening, developing understanding, speaking, reading and writing. Successive stages begin while preceding stages are still in development. When Maple Bear children learn a language their development in that language proceeds through the same stages in the same sequence as in learning their first language. Research shows that learning two languages at an early age offers both linguistic and cognitive advantages.
Immersion methodology is used in Maple Bear schools to develop linguistic competence. This means that children learn to listen, speak, read, and write in English, Arabic and French by surrounding them with conversation and instruction in the same language.
Literacy, which includes listening, speaking, reading and writing, is one of the most important goals of the Maple Bear program.

Haya joined Maple Bear when she was 18 months old, she is 3.5 years old now. She loves going to school and it's wonderful to know that she is happy, engaged and is learning something new everyday. The Maple bear team is extremely approachable and is always willing to listen and help
I dont know where to start! Maple bear team- you rock in each and every way. Sharing with you hoe much my son is in love with his school makes me the happiest mom ever. Knowing he loves to wake up every morning to ho and learn new things and sing new songs and try new experiments. All in all- from owners to admins to teachers to assistants- we are all in love with you
My son recently joined Maple Bear and he's having a great time. A cozy school with caring and attentive staff. They've maximized the use of space with lots of physical and outdoor activities. The multilingual approach with daily french and arabic is one of a kind and only few weeks into starting school and Mehmoud is already excited about the other languages. It's a fun place to be yet they also incorporate math and science at a young age.
My boys took under a week to take to their teachers and adjust to school routine. This is a testament to how positive and encouraging the classrooms are. The way our boys adore their teachers shows that they are receiving care and instruction equally- helping them develop a positive relationship with school and learning for life.
Maple Bear has a very warm, friendly welcoming environment, and my daughter took to it instantly. But it was also easy for me to trust and always feel comfortable knowing that their health, cleaning and sanitation procedures not only meet UAE requirements, but are guided by the best practices that are being put in place across Maple Bear schools around the world. They, are tried and tested and always kept up to date to make sure that the nurse as well as the staff in the classrooms are always ready to handle any concerns amongst the little ones at any time.
The e-learning program has been VERY very useful, for us as a family and for my son as an individual. It's very well organized, the teachers put their hearts and souls in the program. I highly reocmmend it and I'm grateful that this program is available, so that three languages can be introduced. We can't wait for the nursery to start again, but I'm confused which one would be better at this point - the e-learning home program, or the program in the nursery itself! I am super happy that we have teachers, assistants and program directors taht are behind this beautiful and enjoyable experience and it has helped us in spending quality time with each other. Teachers are updating materials and sharing feedback on a very punctual basis. I can only share my gratefulness!
